Join teacher & musician Lily Cushman for a conversation to celebrate the launch of her first book, “A Little Bit of Mantras: An Introduction to Sacred Sounds” featuring a special call & response kirtan with Lily, plus a discussion with Love Story Yoga founder, Stephanie Snyder. Lily’s book is a practical handbook for anyone intrigued by the ancient techniques of mantra practice, exploring the mythology and methodology of sacred sounds and insight into 13 Sanskrit mantras for cultivating peace, clarity, strength, healing and liberation. Books will be for sale at this event, and includes a reception with light snacks and refreshments. Lily will be signing books afterwards.

ABOUT LILY: Lily Cushman is a teacher, musician, author, and the co-founder of Brooklyn Yoga School, a donation-based yoga center voted "Best of New York" by NY Magazine. Lily has been teaching yoga and offering chanting events in the greater NY area for over a decade, and currently serves as Director of Operations for world-renowned meditation teacher, Sharon Salzberg. Lily offers retreats and workshops around the country, and her first book, A Little Bit of Mantra: An Introduction to Sacred Sounds, is set for release in March 2019 from Sterling Publishing.
